3CX IP PBX is supported on Linux and most versions of Windows.

Below is a list of supported operating systems.

Note: All versions listed are x64 versions, as x32 versions are not compatible with the 3CX PBX or 3CX SBC.

  • Linux Debian 9 (kernel 4.9)
  • Windows 10 (Pro, Enterprise)
  • Windows 2012 and 2012 R2 (Foundation, Essentials, Standard, Datacenter)
  • Windows 2016 (Essentials, Standard, Datacenter)
  • Raspbian Stretch (for 3CX SBC only)

Extra Requirements

Voicemail & Recording – 1MB is added for every 60 seconds of recorded audio.

Logging – On a busy 3CX phone system, logging can potentially take up to 1GB/ day. Every 5000 calls logging in full verbosity mode will take up 2GB HDD space.

Many small to medium size businesses are opting to create 3CX IP PBX appliances with Mini PCs as a cost and space-effective alternative.
